Wei Bi
Wei is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. She has a compound education background in construction management. Wei has a particular research interest in the Climate Resilience of Lifeline Infrastructure Systems. Her PhD research focuses on the Flood Resilience Assessment and Optimisation of Urban Rail Transit Systems (URTSs). In collaboration with Transport for London, Wei aims to combine complex network modelling, scenario analysis, and data science to quantify the flood resilience of urban rail transit systems and test the effectiveness of potential interventions for improving operational resilience in the event of extreme flooding. Her ultimate objective is to assist asset owners in diagnosing current vulnerabilities within the system and furnish a concrete basis for informed decision-making regarding resilience planning/climate change adaptation.
