About
Bio/Description

Chen Zhang is an Associate Professional Specialist with the Complex Infrastructure System (CIS) team. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering from Dalian University of Technology, China, and a research-based Master's in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore. At NUS, her research centered on employing data-driven techniques such as deep learning and transfer learning to accelerate multi-scale Finite Element analysis for history-dependent composite materials. Following this, she pursued a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, where she deepened her understanding of MLAI methods. She developed a keen interest in applying network analysis, graphical models, and reinforcement learning to complex systems there. Outside of her professional pursuits, Chen enjoys skiing, working out, and engaging in ball games like badminton, table tennis, and tennis. She is also passionate about photography and traveling.
