Bio/Description

Akaneh Wang is a senior from NYC studying civil and environmental engineering on the architecture and engineering track of studies at Princeton University. She is particularly interested in construction management, heritage restoration, and sustainable building. Outside of academics, Akaneh is the president of the Princeton Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a leader for the Princeton Outdoor Action Program, and a peer advisor for the Princeton engineering program. Her thesis focuses on traditional Japanese timber joints, which are known to be sustainable and resilient building mechanisms.
