The talk firstly introduces the core eight topics to be covered in designing building envelopes for construction, and secondly explains the processes and project management in Design for Digital Fabrication (DfDFAB), which involves (1) post-rationalization, (2) modularisation, (3) prefabrication and (4) digital fabrication with four real-world projects as examples. These are followed by the corresponding concept of Construction 5.0: digitalization X integration X sustainability for the next-generation architecture, engineering and construction sector.
