Registrar description

This course will challenge students to navigate the complexities of urban water and wastewater infrastructure design. Students will learn and apply concepts from physical-chemical treatment processes, engineering economics, climate resilience, and ethics to problem sets and a design project inspired by real-world scenarios. These assignments will cover the entire project lifecycle, from conceptual design and preliminary engineering to more detailed. Schedule permitting, the course will include perspectives from public and/or private sector guest speakers and a field trip to at least one water/wastewater treatment facility.
